The MBA is primarily aimed at professionals who have already had a career within communication departments, but have so far mainly been involved in practical, operational functions and generally not yet in a management function or in an area requiring strategic coordination.
The degree programme is aimed at applicants, who intend to take on a management function in communications management, as well as at persons, who intend to appropriately supplement their qualification profile in the communication sector, on the basis of their educational background in communication/social sciences.
Career path after the degree programme
The MBA programme provides a qualification for management functions in communications management departments of companies, associations and other organisations. The graduates assume responsibility in the communication sector. As all-round communication managers, they bear the responsibility for public relations and their sub-sectors, such as press relations or internal communication. At the same time, they manage related fields, such as marketing. With his or her extensive, business training, the MBA specifically prepares himself/herself for a career in management positions in PR and communication agencies.
